Live news from Asian Correspondent here.
Thailand’s military declared martial law Tuesday and ordered at least 10 television stations to stop broadcasting. The army has insisted that this is not a coup. Notably, the leaders of the pro-government red shirt movement have also said that “this is not yet a coup”. Protest groups from both sides have been ordered not to leave their respective rally sites in Bangkok. The streets of the Thai capital have been peaceful today, with no violence reported.
