Preparing for tomorrow’s verdict

January 22, 2013 Leave a comment Go to comments

The campaign to free Somyot is gearing up for tomorrow’s verdict. We’ve had a huge number ofletters of support in – hundreds of individuals and organizations including Amnesty International, Asia Human Rights Commission, and global unions from across the world.

We’re getting confirmations of international observers who will attend tomorrow’s verdict – including representatives from the USA and Swiss governments, the EU, the UN’s OHCHR and media from Aljazeera and Reuters.

There will be updates on this site and our facebook site throughout the day. We call upon you as supporters and press to join us tomorrow in supporting Somyot’s fight for freedom. Above all this means that on 23 January 2013, your presence and participation on the verdict reading is vital to ensure transparency and fair trial to happen.

Venue: The Criminal Court, Ratchada Rd.

Volunteer Translation will be conducted but would be appreciated if you could invite your own translator. We also advised your arrival at least 15 minutes before the arrangement and prepare for the courtroom change. Please contact Khun Sukanya (081-847-5132) if you would have questions or request.
